The NC Dinos and Hanwha Eagles meet Tuesday morning in South Korea KBO baseball action at the Hanwha Life Eagles Park.
The NC Dinos need a win after losing five of their last six games. The NC Dinos have scored five or more runs in 20 of their last 32 games. In their last effort, Kang Jin-sung and Kwon Hee-dong combined for two hits and four RBI while Choi Sung-young allowed three runs and six hits in 5.1 innings of work. The NC Dinos have won 19 of their last 34 games overall. Lee Jae-hak gets the ball tonight for the NC Dinos.
The Hanwha Eagles need a win after losing seven of their last 10 games. The Hanwha Eagles pitching staff has allowed five or more runs in 15 of their last 22 games. In their last effort, Kim Tae-kyun and Noh Si-hwan combined for two hits and four RBI while Warwick Saupold allowed five runs and 10 hits in 3.1 innings of work. The Hanwha Eagles have lost 36 of their last 49 games overall. Chad Bell gets the ball tonight for the Hanwha Eagles.
The NC Dinos have won seven of the last eight meetings against the Hanwha Eagles. Five of the last seven meetings between the Eagles and Dinos have produced double-digit run totals.
This is a weird spot to be, as the NC Dinos are a team we've blindly backed for a good chunk of the season and we've been blindly fading the Hanwha Eagles. Both have paid out well. However, for this game, the NC Dinos are coming off their worst week of the season and are throwing out a pitcher in Jae-hak who has a 6.04 ERA and 1.56 WHIP in 70 innings this season. Jae-hak has allowed 12 earned runs and 20 hits in his last three starts. Sure, the Eagles aren't a team you want to back and Bell hasn't been much better with his 7.44 ERA and 1.84 WHIP in 42.1 innings this season.
Still, in a battle between two rough pitchers, I'll take a shot with the Eagles and a chance to make two times my money.
