LG Twins vs. Kiwoom Heroes – 8/21/20 KBO Baseball Pick, Odds, and Prediction

2020-08-21 05:30:00 EDT

The Kiwoom Heroes and LG Twins meet Friday morning in South Korea KBO baseball action at the Gocheok Sky Dome.

The Kiwoom Heroes look for a win after winning 16 of their last 21 games. The Kiwoom Heroes have scored no less than five runs in 17 of their last 35 games. In their last effort, Kim Ha-seong and Addison Russell combined for three hits and three RBI while Eric Jokisch allowed one run and three hits in six innings of work. The Kiwoom Heroes have won 19 of their last 30 games overall. Lee Seung-ho gets the ball tonight for the Kiwoom Heroes.

The LG Twins look for a win after winning 20 of their last 29 games. The LG Twins pitching staff has allowed five or more runs in 29 of their last 51 games. In their last effort, Oh Ji-hwan and Yoo Kang-nam combined for three hits and three RBI while Kim Yun-sik allowed three runs and six hits in five innings of work. The LG Twins have lost 28 of their last 62 games overall. Tyler Wilson gets the ball tonight for the LG Twins.

The Kiwoom Heroes have won six of the last seven games against the LG Twins and nine of the last 11 meetings overall. Seven of the last 10 meetings between the Heroes and Twins have produced single-digit run totals.

Lee Seung-ho has a 4.84 ERA and 1.41 WHIP this season through 80 innings, and he’s allowed a combined two runs and 11 hits in his last 19.2 innings. Tyler Wilson has a 4.03 ERA and 1.40 WHIP this season through 98.1 innings, and he’s allowed three or less earned runs in seven of his last eight starts. While Wilson may be the better pitcher overall, we’re getting the hotter pitcher in Lee Seung-ho for the slightly cheaper price. The Kiwoom Heroes have also beat up on the LG Twins in six of the last seven meetings, and they’re quietly the hottest team in the league.

This is another game with a word price. I’ll side with the Kiwoom Heroes and the more favorable price.
