KIA Tigers vs. Kiwoom Heroes – 8/23/20 KBO Baseball Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Kiwoom Heroes and KIA Tigers meet Sunday morning in South Korea KBO baseball action at the Gocheok Sky Dome.  

The Kiwoom Heroes look for a win after winning 17 of their last 23 games. The Kiwoom Heroes have scored no less than five runs in 17 of their last 37 games. In their last effort, Heo Jeong-hyeop and Kim Woong-bin combined for three hits and four RBI while Kim Tae-hoon allowed three runs and three hits in two innings of work. The Kiwoom Heroes have won 20 of their last 32 games overall. Han Hyun-hee gets the ball tonight for the Kiwoom Heroes.      

The KIA Tigers need a victory after losing 12 of their last 20 games. The KIA Tigers pitching staff has allowed four or less runs in 29 of their last 53 games. In their last effort, Choi Hyung-woo and Yoo Min-sang combined for one hit and two RBI while Yang Hyun-jong allowed zero runs and six hits in 6.2 innings of work. The KIA Tigers have won 30 of their last 56 games overall. Aaron Brooks gets the ball tonight for the KIA Tigers.     

The KIA Tigers have won five of the last eight meetings against the Kiwoom Heroes. Six of the last 10 meetings between the Tigers and Heroes have produced double-digit run totals.

Han Hyun-hee has a 5.86 ERA and 1.24 WHIP this season through 90.2 innings, and he’s allowed five or more earned runs in four of his last eight starts. Aaron Brooks has been one of the better pitchers in the KBO this season with his 2.70 ERA and 1.10 WHIP through 116.2 innings, and he’s allowed three or less earned runs in 14 of his last 15 starts. The KIA Tigers have a serious pitching edge in this contest and have won five of the last eight contests against the Kiwoom Heroes. The Kiwoom Heroes are playing the better baseball at the moment, but there’s no reason they should be getting this much respect in this game.

I have to take the KIA Tigers and the cheap price, as this line feels somewhat of a joke.
