2020-08-29 18:37:00 EDT

The Baltimore Orioles and the Toronto Blue Jays meet in an AL East division matchup in MLB action from Sahlen Field on Saturday.

The Baltimore Orioles come into this one looking to rebound after a 5-4 loss to Toronto in extra innings on Friday. Ryan Mountcastle went 2 for 4 with two RBIs while Renato Nunez added a solo home run and Hanser Alberto went 4 for 5 with an RBI as well to finish off the scoring for Baltimore in the losing effort. Pat Valaika and Jose Iglesias each had two hits to finish off the offense for the O’s in defeat. John Means allowed two runs on four hits while striking out three over four innings of work, not factoring in the decision. Cole Sulser took the loss, falling to 1-3 on the year in relief. Alex Cobb starts here and is 1-2 with a 3.73 ERA and 22 strikeouts this season. In his career, Cobb is 3-6 with a 5.87 ERA and 55 strikeouts against Toronto.

The Toronto Blue Jays will try to build off of their win over Baltimore on Friday. Randal Grichuk led the way with a walk-off two-run home run while Teoscar Hernandez and Vladimir Gurrero Jr. each had solo home runs with Guerrero Jr. adding a double as well. Danny Janson and Joe Panik each had a double while Travis Shaw added a base hit as well to finish off Toronto’s offense in the victory. Hyun-Jin Ryu allowed two runs on eight hits while striking out seven over six innings of work. Rafael Dolis got the win in relief for the Jays to improve to 1-1 on the year. Taijuan Walker makes his Blue Jays debut here and is 2-2 with a 4.00 ERA and 25 strikeouts this season. In his career, Walker is 1-1 with a 4.29 ERA and 17 strikeouts against Baltimore.

Trends will be updated once they’ve been released.

The total here is a tricky one as Sahlen Field has been an offensive boost for both Toronto and their opponents a lot of the time spent there. However, Cobb’s been arguably Baltimore’s best pitcher so far, and I have to think that Walker will want to put his best foot forward for his new team. Give me the under here as my free pick for this game but my stronger play is on the side and I have that available as a premium play that you can find here.
