SK Wyverns vs. Hanwha Eagles – 9/11/20 KBO Baseball Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Hanwha Eagles and SK Wyverns meet Friday morning in South Korea KBO baseball action at the Hanwha Life Eagles Park.  

The Hanwha Eagles need a win after losing 10 of their last 14 games. The Hanwha Eagles pitching staff has allowed five or more runs in six of their last 11 games. In their last effort, Ha Ju-suk and Noh Soo-kwang combined for two hits and one RBI while Warwick Saupold allowed five runs and six hits in 5.1 innings of work. The Hanwha Eagles have lost 21 of their last 30 games overall. Jang Shi-hwan gets the ball tonight for the Hanwha Eagles.    

The SK Wyverns need a win here after losing 11 of their last 12 games. The SK Wyverns pitching staff has allowed five or more runs in 11 of their last 12 games. In their last effort, Choi Jeong and Lee Jae-won combined for three hits and four RBI while Park Jong-hoon allowed one run and five hits in seven innings of work. The SK Wyverns have lost 15 of their last 19 games overall. Moon Seung-won gets the ball tonight for the SK Wyverns.   

The SK Wyverns have won nine of their last 12 games against the Hanwha Eagles. Five of the last six meetings between the Wyverns and Eagles have produced double-digit run totals.

Jang Shi-hwan has a 4.53 ERA and 1.57 WHIP this season through 103.1 innings, and he’s allowed three or less earned runs in five of his last seven starts. Moon Seung-won has a 4.09 ERA and 1.27 WHIP this season through 116.2 innings, and he’s allowed three or less earned runs in seven of his last 10 games. I’m not running to the window to bet on either of these pitchers who can get hit often and hit hard whenever they take the mound. We’ve seen double-digit run totals in five of the last six meetings between the Wyverns and Eagles. There’s only one way for me to go here.

I’ll take the over 8.5 runs, as these pitchers can struggle and we’ve seen high scoring games in the past when these teams meet.
