Doosan Bears vs. Kiwoom Heroes – 9/13/20 KBO Baseball Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Kiwoom Heroes and Doosan Bears meet Sunday morning in South Korea KBO baseball action at the Gocheok Sky Dome.  

The Kiwoom Heroes look for a win after winning nine of their last 15 games. The Kiwoom Heroes have scored no less than five runs in 22 of their last 47 games. In their last effort, Park Joon-tae and Jeon Byung-woo combined for two hits and one RBI while Han Hyun-hee allowed two runs and four hits in 5.1 innings of work. The Kiwoom Heroes have won 12 of their last 21 games overall. Lee Seung-ho gets the ball tonight for the Kiwoom Heroes.   

The Doosan Bears look for a victory after splitting their last 10 games. The Doosan Bears offense has produced five or more runs in 29 of their last 51 games. In their last effort, Choi Joo-hwan and Kim Jae-ho combined for four hits and two RBI while Yu Hui-kwan allowed two runs and five hits in five innings of work. The Doosan Bears have won 10 of their last 18 games overall. Ham Duk-joo gets the ball tonight for the Doosan Bears.    

The Kiwoom Heroes have won six of the last eight meetings against the Doosan Bears. Six of the last 10 meetings between the Heroes and Bears have produced double-digit run totals.

Lee Seung-ho has a 4.98 ERA and 1.45 WHIP this season through 85 innings, and he’s allowed four runs and 11 hits in his last 12.2 innings. Ham Duk-joo has a 3.09 ERA and 1.14 WHIP this season through 35 innings, and he’s allowed zero runs and one hit in his last 6.1 innings. The Kiwoom Heroes probably should be the favorite simply because they’re playing the better baseball and have won six of the last eight meetings against the Doosan Bears. However, we’re getting a slightly cheaper price with a pitcher who has much better numbers on the season despite the small sample size. Duk-joo is also coming off six scoreless innings against the SK Wyverns.

I’ll take my chances with the Bears to get a much needed victory and break out of this inconsistent funk.
