The Chicago Cubs and the Milwaukee Brewers meet Sunday in MLB action from Miller Park.

This will be the third and final installment of the weekend series between these teams. The Brewers eked out a tense 1-0 victory in the Friday opener. On Saturday, we had a wild outing, as Milwaukee scored twice in the fourth inning and had a lead into the ninth until Chicago’s four runs in that frame. The Cubs won 4-2 to even up the series. The Cubs tied Milwaukee in hitting in the Saturday matchup, with each team tallying eight hits. Javier Baez led the way with a 2-for-4 outing and a run, while Jason Heyward put up a three-run homer that sealed the win. Kyle Hendricks had the start and went 7.2 innings with two earned, six hits and seven strikeouts.

In the Sunday finale starting pitcher role, the Cubs will go with Alec Mills. In his eight starts this season, Mills is 4-3 with a 4.74 ERA and 32 strikeouts in 43.2 innings. Over his MLB career, Mills is 5-4 with a 4.19 ERA and 101 Ks in 101.0 innings.

Over on the Brewers’ side, they got a pretty nice start out of Brent Suter on Saturday, with 3.0 innings, six strikeouts and one hit. The game fell apart with Josh Hader’s blown save and four runs in 1.0 innings, however. Ryan Braun posted a two-run homer in that game to lead the offense.

The Brewers will go with Adrian Houser as the Sunday starting pitcher. This season over eight starts, Houser is 1-4 with a 5.48 ERA and 32 Ks in 42.2 innings of work. On his MLB career, Houser holds a 7-11 record with a 4.08 ERA and 157 Ks in 169.2 innings total.

The Cubs are 19-39 in their last 58 games as an underdog and 11-23 in their last 34 games as a road underdog. Chicago is 1-4 in their last five during game three of a series and the over is 16-6 in their last 22 versus a right-handed starter.

Meanwhile, Milwaukee is 2-5 in their last seven Sunday games and 0-5 in their last five during game three of a series. The under is 3-1-1 in the Brewers’ last five during game three of a series and 5-2-1 in the last eight Sunday games.

Pick: I’m going Cubs here. Mills is coming off a nice start on Tuesday against the Reds. In that one, he posted six shutout innings with six strikeouts and three walks. Mills went six innings with four runs versus the Brewers on August 14, though. As for Houser, he started the year out great but has spiraled in his last six starts with an 0-4 record, a 7.34 ERA and a 1.62 WHIP. It’s hard to trust Houser right now, so Chicago feels like the better play in this Sunday series finale.
