The Orioles haven’t won a game this season when scoring three or less runs. Hanser Alberto leads the Orioles with 55 hits and 17 RBI while Jose Iglesias and Renato Nunez have combined for 93 hits and 48 RBI. John Means gets the ball, and he is 1-3 with a 5.63 ERA and 21 strikeouts this season. Means is 2-1 with a 3.68 ERA and 20 strikeouts in his career against the Rays.

Ryan Yarbrough has allowed five runs and 11 hits in his last 8.1 innings while John Means has allowed six runs and 16 hits in his last 17.1 innings. Certainly not the best pitching matchup in the world, but the Orioles have been fade material pretty much all season long and that doesn’t change here with them losing 10 of their last 12 games. The Rays have piled up the victories over the last week and they’ve been nearly unbeatable when the offense shows up even a little bit.
