The Atlanta Braves will look to rebound after a 7-2 loss to the Mets on Saturday. Adam Duvall and Travis d’Arnaud each had a solo home run to make up the scoring for the Braves in the losing effort with Duvall going 2 for 4 with a double. Dansby Swanson, Tyler Flowers and Austin Riley all had a double for the Braves to cap off Atlanta’s offense as the Braves had just six hits as a team in the losing effort. Ian Anderson took the loss, falling to 3-1 on the year after allowing three runs on four hits while striking out eight over 4.2 innings of work. David Peterson gave up one run on three hits while striking out ten over six innings of work to pick up the win to improve to 5-2 this season. Rick Porcello will start here and is 1-5 with a 6.06 ERA and 41 strikeouts this season. In his career, Porcello is 3-2 with a 5.10 ERA and 27 strikeouts against Atlanta.

It’s hard for me to pick a side here between two brutal pitchers, as Wright has started to turn a corner, but turning a corner is allowing three runs in six innings while Porcello’s allowed between two and five runs in each of his last seven starts. I think the offenses rule the day in this one, so give me the over here.
