Didi Gregorius leads the Phillies with 60 hits and 40 RBI while Andrew McCutchen and Alec Bohm have combined for 108 hits and 57 RBI. Aaron Nola gets the ball, and he is 5-4 with a 3.06 ERA and 90 strikeouts this season. This will be Nola’s second career game against the Rays.

The Tampa Bay Rays look for a win after winning eight of their last 10 games. The Rays have scored 18 runs in their last three games and three or less runs in five of their last eight games. The Rays have split their last eight games when scoring three or less runs. Brandon Lowe leads the Rays with 52 hits and 37 RBI while Willy Adames and Joey Wendle have combined for 95 hits and 39 RBI. Josh Fleming gets the ball, and he is 4-0 with a 3.42 ERA and 20 strikeouts this season. This will be Fleming’s first career game against the Phillies.

Aaron Nola has allowed 11 earned runs and 24 hits in his last 31.2 innings while Josh Fleming has allowed eight runs and 17 hits in his last 16 innings. Nola is obviously the better pitcher here, especially when you thitem in the .195 allowed batting average on the season and his average of 12 strikeouts per nine innings. However, the Phillies have completely fallen apart over the last week and it’s hard to get behind them with any confidence. The Tampa Bay Rays continue to find ways to win and are building even more confidence heading into the playoffs. I want no parts of the Phillies in their current form.
