The Boston Red Sox and the Baltimore Orioles meet in an AL East division matchup in MLB action from Camden Yards on Saturday.

The Boston Red Sox will look to bag another win over the Orioles after their 7-3 wi over Baltimore last time out. Rafael Devers went 2 for 3 with a two-run home run while Kike Hernandez added a solo home run as well. J.D Martinez added a double and an RBI while Marwin Gonzalez, Christian Arroyo and Franchy Cordero each had an RBI as well in the win to cap off Boston’s scoring. Alex Verdugo and Christian Vazquez each had a pair of doubles with Vazquez going 3 for 5 at the dish in the victory. Eduardo Rodriguez got the win to improve to 1-0 on the year after allowing three runs on four hits with seven strikeouts over five innings of work. Garrett Richards will start here and is 0-1 with a 27.00 ERA and 2 strikeouts this season. In his career, Richards is 0-5 with a 6.82 ERA and 24 strikeouts against Baltimore.

The Baltimore Orioles will look to rebound from their loss to the Red Sox in their last matchup. All of Baltimore’s damage on the board came by way of the longball, as Ryan Mountcastle had a two-run homer and Pedro Severino had a solo shot to cap off Baltimore’s scoring as a team in the losing effort. Cedric Mullins and Trey Mancini each had a base hit to cap off the Oriole offense as Baltimore had just five hits as a team in the loss. Matt Harvey took the loss, falling to 0-1 after allowing four runs on seven hits with five strikeouts over five innings of work. Bruce Zimmermann will start here and is 1-0 with a 4.50 ERA and 5 strikeouts this season. This will be Zimmermann’s second career start against Boston.

Boston is 4-0 in their last 4 games overall and 4-1 in their last 5 road games while the over is 4-0 in their last 4 games as a favorite. Baltimore is 90-190 in their last 280 games following a loss and 56-115 in their last 171 home games while the under is 6-0 in their last 6 home games against a team with a winning record. The over is 5-2 in the last 7 meetings between these two teams.

I get the case for both sides here as Baltimore holds the head-to-head edge and Boston has appeared to have woken up from their slumber to start the year. With that said, this pitching matchup already happened and Bruce Zimmermann outpitched Garrett Richards who was lit up to the tune of six runs in two innings of work. Bottom line is I’m not laying juice with Boston on the road after Baltimore handled the Red Sox to open the year. Maybe the Red Sox get revenge here, but the value is too good to pass on with Baltimore. Give me the O’s here.
