The Colorado Rockies and San Francisco Giants meet Saturday in MLB action at Oracle Park.

The Colorado Rockies need a win after losing five of their last seven games. The Rockies have scored 16 runs in their last three games and four or more runs in six of their first eight games. The Rockies have split their last six games when scoring four or more runs. Ryan McMahon leads the Rockies with nine hits and seven RBI while Chris Owings and Trevor Story have combined for 16 hits and six RBI. Chi Chi Gonzalez gets the ball, and he is 1-0 with a 5.40 ERA and four strikeouts this season. Gonzalez is 0-2 with a 5.31 ERA and 18 strikeouts in his career against the Giants.

The San Francisco Giants look for a win after winning four of their last six games. The Giants have scored seven runs in their last three games and three or less runs in five straight games. The Giants have won three of their last five games when scoring three or less runs. Donovan Solano leads the Giants with nine hits and three RBI while Evan Longoria and Buster Posey have combined for 13 hits and seven RBI. Logan Webb gets the ball, and he is 0-1 with a 5.06 ERA and five strikeouts this season. Webb is 2-0 with a 4.02 ERA and 10 strikeouts in his career against the Rockies.

The Rockies are 22-46 in their last 68 road games and 16-35 in their last 51 overall. The Giants are 7-3 in their last 10 games as a home favorite and 2-6 in their last 8 overall. The under is 4-1 in Rockies last 5 overall. The under is 4-0 in Giants last 4 overall. The over is 3-1-1 in the last 5 meetings in San Francisco and 4-1-1 in the last 6 meetings.

I’m not running to the window to back either of these starting pitchers, but the Giants are finding ways to win games despite not scoring much, as their pitching staff has been dealing out of the gate. Eventually the Giants bats will provide more run support, and Gonzalez seems like one of those pitchers who could provide a gift or two. Price isn’t great, but the Giants should get the job done here regardless.
