Daniel Ponce de Leon took the loss after allowing seven earned runs on six hits over just 1.1 innings of work. John Gant will start here and is 0-0 with a 0.00 ERA and 4 strikeouts this season. In his career, Gant is 1-1 with a 4.61 ERA and 11 strikeouts against Washington.

I just think early on there’s more promise with the Cardinals right now, so I’ll lay the juice with St. Louis at home in this one.
