The Tampa Bay Rays and the Toronto Blue Jays meet in an AL East division matchup in MLB action from TD Ballpark on Friday night.

The Tampa Bay Rays will look to build on their 10-1 win over Baltimore last time out. Randy Arozarena led the way, going 4 for 6 with a three run-home run and four RBIs total while Joey Wendle went 4 for 6 with a pair of solo homers and a double. Austin Meadows went 3 for 6 with a double and an RBI while Ji-Man Choi, Brandon Lowe and Yandy Diaz all had RBIs as well in the victory. Kevin Kiermaier went 2 for 6 at the dish and Francisco Mejia added a base hit as well in the winning effort. Rich Hill got the win to improve to 3-1 on the year after allowing one run on two hits while striking out four over six innings of work. Tyler Glasnow will start here and is 4-2 with a 2.35 ERA and 85 strikeouts this season. In his career, Glasnow is 0-2 with a 5.48 ERA and 28 strikeouts against Toronto.

The Toronto Blue Jays ill try to bounce back from an 8-7 loss to Boston last time out. Randal Grichuk went 2 for 5 with a double and two RBIs while Bo Bichette went 3 for 4 with a pair of doubles and an RBI. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. had a double and an RBI while Cavan Biggio, Jonathan Davis and Teoscar Hernandez each had an RBI as well in the losing effort. Danny Jansen had a double and Marcus Semien added a base hit as well to finish off Toronto’s offense as a team in the win. Steven Matz gave up five runs on ten hits while striking out four over six innings of work, not factoring in the decision. Rafael Dolis took the loss, falling to 1-1 on the year as a result. Anthony Kay will get the start here and is 0-2 with a 7.24 ERA and 16 strikeouts this season. This will be Kay’s second career start against Tampa Bay.

Tampa Bay is 6-0 in their last 6 games overall and 4-0 in their last 4 games against a team with a winning record while the over is 15-5 in their last 20 road games. Toronto is 6-2 in their last 8 games overall and 7-3 in their last 10 home games against a team with a right-handed starter while the under is 10-3 in their last 13 division games.

It’s not often that you get this sort of price with Glasnow, but with that said the line feels a bit fishy. On the other side, I haven’t seen enough of Anthony Kay to really judge what he’ll do in the start, so I’m going to side with the over. Glasnow’s had his issues against Toronto in the past and Kay is bound to give up a few runs himself against the Rays’ lineup and I could see this one getting into double digits. Give me the over.
