The Texas Rangers and Seattle Mariners meet Thursday in MLB action at T-Mobile Park.

The Texas Rangers need a win after losing five of their last eight games. The Rangers have scored 16 runs in their last three games and four or more runs in six of their last nine games. The Rangers have split their last six games when scoring four or more runs. Isiah Kiner-Falefa leads the Rangers with 57 hits and 21 RBI while Nate Lowe and Nick Solak have combined for 96 hits and 50 RBI. The Texas Rangers did not list a starting pitcher at the time this article was published.

The Seattle Mariners need a win after losing seven of their last nine games. The Mariners have scored 11 runs in their last three games and three or less runs in six of their last nine games. The Mariners have lost six straight games when scoring three or less runs. Mitch Haniger leads the Mariners with 49 hits and 33 RBI while Kyle Seager and JP Crawford have combined for 84 hits and 46 RBI. Chris Flexen gets the ball, and he is 4-2 with a 5.09 ERA and 24 strikeouts this season. Flexen is 2-0 with a 5.25 ERA and six strikeouts in his career against the Rangers.

The Rangers are 16-43 in their last 59 road games and 4-10 in their last 14 overall. The Mariners are 4-1 in their last 5 Thursday games and 2-7 in their last 9 overall. The over is 4-0 in Rangers last 4 road games. The under is 3-0-1 in Mariners last 4 home games. The Rangers are 0-8 in the last 8 meetings in Seattle and 2-8 in the last 10 meetings.

I’m not running to the window to back either of these teams in their current form, as they’re both piling up the losses and have major offensive issues they have to figure out. However, if forced to pick, I have to lead the Mariners at home. The Texas Rangers have played their worst ball on the road and they’ve lost eight of the last 10 meetings against the Mariners. Much better options on Thursday’s card, but I lean M’s if forced to pick.
