The Los Angeles Dodgers and the Miami Marlins meet in MLB action from LoanDepot Park on Monday night.

The Los Angeles Dodgers will look to build on their 5-1 win over the Washington Nationals last time out. Max Muncy led the charge with a pair of doubles and three RBIs while Matt Beaty added a solo home run and Albert Pujols had an RBI as well to cap off the scoring for the Dodgers as a team in the win. Gavin Lux went 3 for 4 with a double while Chris Taylor, Zach McKinstry, Austin Barnes and Mookie Betts each had base hits for the Dodgers in the win. David Price got the win for the Dodgers in the bullpen game to improve his record to 4-0 on the year. Walker Buehler will start here and is 8-1 with a 8-1 with a 2.35 ERA and 101 strikeouts this season. In his career, Buehler is 1-1 with a 3.86 ERA and 29 strikeouts against Miami.

The Miami Marlins will be out to bounce back from an 8-7 loss at the hands of the Braves from Sunday. Adam Duvall led the charge, going 3 for 4 with a home run and four RBIs while Jesus Aguilar went 3 for 5 with a home run and two RBIs. Sandy Leon added a solo blast as well to cap off the scoring for the Marlins in the losing effort. Zach Thompson allowed three runs on five hits while striking out six over six innings of work, not factoring in the decision. Anthony Bass took the loss, falling to 1-4 on the year as a result. Trevor Rogers will start here and is 7-5 with a 2.14 ERA and 110 strikeouts this season. This will be Rogers’ first career start against the Dodgers.

Los Angeles is 4-1 in their last 5 Monday games and 4-1 in their last 5 road games against a left-handed starter while the under is 8-1-1 in their last 10 games overall. Miami is 0-4 in their last 4 series-opening games and 2-5 in their last 7 home games while the under is 5-1-1 in their last 7 games as a home underdog. Los Angeles is 8-2 in the last 10 meetings between these two teams.

This is a tough call with both teams’ starters pitching so well right now. With that said, I’m leaning towards the Dodgers here. I’m not trusting Miami’s offense to put anything consistent together and as well as Trevor rogers has pitched, the Marlins just can’t do enough to put wins together with him on the bump. Walker Buehler on the other hand, has the stronger lineup behind him and the Dodgers usually have success with him on the mound. Give me the Dodgers here.
