The Arizona Diamondbacks and the Milwaukee Brewers meet in MLB action from American Family Field on Saturday afternoon.

The Arizona Diamondbacks will look to rebound from a 5-1 loss at the hands of the Brewers last time out. Asdrubal Cabrera had the lone RBI and Nick Ahmed had the D-Backs’ lone hit as the D-Backs sent the minimum 27 batters to the dish in the loss with the rest of the team batting 0 for 24 with 9 strikeouts. Matt Peacock allowed four runs, three earned, on five hits while walking four over 4.2 innings of work to fall to 2-2 on the year. Merrill Kelly will start here and is 2-6 with a 5.04 ERA and 58 strikeouts this season. In his career, Kelly is 0-1 with a 5.56 ERA and 11 strikeouts against the Brewers.

The Milwaukee Brewers will look to build on their win over the D-Backs from Friday night. Omar Narvaez led the Brewers with two RBIs, going 2 for 3 with a solo home run and a double while Daniel Vogelbach added a solo home run and Jackie Bradley Jr. added an RBI as well. Travis Shaw, Christian Yelich and Avisail Garcia each had a hit as well as the Brew Crew had six hits as a team in the winning effort. Freddy Peralta allowed the one run on one hit while walking three and striking out nine over 7.1 innings of work. Brandon Woodruff will start here and is 4-2 with a 1.27 ERA and 83 strikeouts this season. In his career, Woodruff is 1-0 with a 5.40 ERA and 12 strikeouts against Arizona.

Arizona is 14-37 in their last 51 road games and 1-4 in their last 5 games against the NL Central while the over is 7-1 in their last 8 games overall. Milwaukee is 6-1 in their last 7 games overall and 23-8 in their last 31 Saturday games while the over is 6-2 in their last 8 games as a home favorite. The under is 8-3 in the last 11 meetings between these two teams in Milwaukee.

I try to make an argument for both sides of a total or side, but for me in this one, it’s all about the under. Brandon Woodruff has been lights out for much of the season but getting run support has been a challenge at times for the Brewers’ ace as well. The Diamondbacks are back to struggling and I don’t see many runs being produced on that side either. Give me the under here.
