The Milwaukee Brewers and the Cincinnati Reds meet in an NL Central division matchup in MLB action from the Great American Ballpark on Tuesday night.

The Milwaukee Brewers will look to build on their 2-0 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks in Sunday’s series finale. Both of Milwaukee’s runs came via the long ball, as Tyrone Taylor and David Robertson each had a solo home run to take care of the scoring for the Brew Crew in the win. Keston Hiura and Luis Urias each had a double with Urias going 2 for 4 at the dish and Willy Adames added a base hit as well to finish off Milwaukee’s offense as the Brewers had just six hits as a team in the winning effort. Corbin Burnes got the win to improve to 3-4 on the year after tossing seven innings of four-hit shutout ball, striking out 13 on the way to the win. Brad Boxberger closed the 9th for his 2nd save of the year. Adrian Houser will start here and is 3-5 with a 3.86 ERA and 48 strikeouts this season. In his career, Houser is 0-3 with a 6.84 ERA and 22 strikeouts against Cincinnati.

The Cincinnati Reds will look to build on an 8-7 win over the Cardinals last time out. Jesse Winker led the charge, belting three home runs and putting up six RBIs while Eugenio Suarez had a double and two RBIs to make up the rest of the scoring for Cincinnati in the winning effort. Tyler Naquin also added a double and Shogo Akiyama had a pair of hits in a pinch hitting role while Mike Freeman, Jonathan India and Tyler Stephenson each had a base hit to round out Cincy’s offense as a team in the victory. Wade Miley threw five shutout innings in the start, allowing just four hits and striking out eight, not factoring in the decision. Heath Hembree got the win to improve to 1-1 while Lucas Sims closed the 9th for his 6th save of the year. Sonny Gray will start here and is 1-4 with a 3.64 ERA and 60 strikeouts this season. In his career, Gray is 3-2 with a 2.70 ERA and 74 strikeouts against Milwaukee.

Milwaukee is 4-0 in their last 4 games overall and 5-0 in their last 5 road games while the under is 5-2 in their last 7 games as an underdog. Cincinnati is 5-0 in their last 5 games against a team with a winning record and 4-0 in their last 4 games overall while the over is 5-1 in their last 6 home games. The under is 11-5-1 in the last 17 meetings between these two teams in Cincinnati.

This is a tough one to call, as Cincinnati’s been the better team lately and are coming off of a sweep on the road against the Cardinals, but Sonny Gray’s start in the 17-3 loss to Philadelphia is the only thing standing between the Reds and a seven-game winning streak coming into this one. On the other hand, Adrian Houser’s well-rested and the Brewers are one of the hottest teams in baseball, winning nine of their last ten games, but you could easily question the level of competition as the last five wins came against Detroit and Arizona. I’m leaning towards the Brewers here, but realistically it’s probably a game that’s best left alone.
