The Colorado Rockies and the Cincinnati Reds meet in MLB action from the Great American Ballpark on Sunday.

The Colorado Rockies will look to bounce back from a 10-3 loss at the hands of the Reds on Saturday. Connor Joe and Elias Diaz each had an RBI with Diaz adding a double while Yonathan Daza went 2 for 4 with a double as well in the loss. German Marquez, C.J. Cron and Garrett Hampson each had a base hit as well as the Rockies had just seven hits as a team in the loss. Marquez took the loss on the mound, falling to 4-6 on the year after allowing eight earned runs on 12 hits while striking out five over five innings of work. Antonio Senzatela will start here and is 2-6 with a 4.62 ERA and 42 strikeouts this season. In his career, Senzatela is 1-0 with a 6.75 ERA and 12 strikeouts against Cincinnati.

The Cincinnati Reds will look to build on a strong showing on Saturday in the victory. Tyler Naquin, Joey Votto and Tucker Barnhart each had two RBIs with Barnhart adding a double and Naquin going 3 for 5 at the dish while Votto had a pair of hits. Nick Castellanos and Jonathan India each had a double and an RBI and Eugenio Suarez and Kyle Farmer each had an RBI as well to cap off Cincinnati’s scoring as a team in the win. Wade Miley also added a pair of base hits to help his own cause in the victory. Miley got the win on the mound to improve to 6-4 on the year after allowing two earned runs on six hits while striking out three over seven innings of work. Tony Santillan will start here and is making his major league debut after posting a 2.51 ERA in triple-A Louisville this season.

Colorado is 16-35 in their last 51 games as an underdog and 2-5 in their last 7 games overall while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 games against a team with a losing record. Cincinnati is 6-2 in their last 8 games overall and 4-9 in their last 13 home games while the over is 5-1-1 in their last 7 Sunday games. The over is 4-0-1 in the last 5 meetings between these two teams and 8-2-1 in the last 11 meetings between the two teams in Cincinnati.

I’m not rushing to the window to bet this game, as the Rockies have been a steaming pile of garbage on the road and I’m not paying this price with Cincinnati starting a pitcher making his major league debut here. Instead, I’m going to side with the over. We’ve seen a lot of runs in this series and I think Sunday is no different. Give me the over in this one.
