The New York Yankees and the Toronto Blue Jays meet in an AL East division matchup in MLB action from Sahlen Field on Thursday.

The New York Yankees will look to build on their 3-2 win over the Blue Jays from Wednesday night. Gary Sanchez led the charge with a pinch-hit two run home run while Giancarlo Stanton added an RBI to finish off the scoring for the Yankees in the win. Miguel Andujar and Aaron Judge each added a base hit as well to finish off New York’s offense as the Yankees had just four hits as a team in the winning effort. Gerrit Cole got the win to improve to 8-3 on the year after allowing both Toronto runs on four hits while striking out four over eight innings of work. Aroldis Chapman closed out the 9th for his 14th save of the season. Michael King will start here and is 0-3 with a 3.77 ERA and 28 strikeouts this season. This will be King’s second career start against Toronto, but he has an 0-1 record with a 5.65 ERA in 5 career appearances.

The Toronto Blue Jays will look to bounce back from their heartbreaking and frustrating loss to the Yankees on Wednesday. Toronto’s two runs came via the long ball as Marcus Semien and Cavan Biggio each had a solo home run. Teoscar Hernandez went 2 for 4 with a double while Bo Bichette and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. each had a base hit as Toronto mustered up six hits as a team in the losing effort. Ross Stripling took the loss, falling to 2-4 on the year after allowing three runs, two earned, on three hits while striking out nine over 6.2 innings of work. T.J. Zeuch is expected to start here and is 0-2 with a 6.75 ERA and 6 strikeouts this season.. In his career, Zeuch is 2-1 with a 3.80 ERA and 17 strikeouts against the Yankees.

New York is 3-7 in their last 10 games overall and 1-4 in their last 5 games against a team with a winning record while the over is 7-2 in their last 9 games overall. Toronto is 3-9 in their last 12 home games and 4-11 in their last 15 division games while the over is 9-2 in their last 11 game three matchups.

The under came through with relative ease on Wednesday, but I’m going to go the opposite way and try my luck on the over again on Thursday. King and Zeuch haven’t seen a ton of action this season and I’m not sure how trustworthy I am of either with the power and potential offensively in both lineups. Give me the over here in a game that I see finishing in double digits.
