The Toronto Blue Jays and the Baltimore Orioles meet in an AL East division matchup in MLB action from Camden Yards on Friday night.

The Toronto Blue Jays will look to bounce back from an 8-4 loss at the hands of the New York Yankees in their last game. Reese McGuire led the charge, going 3 for 3 with a pair of doubles and an RBI while Randal Grichuk added a pair of hits with an RBI as well. Marcus Semien and Bo Bichette each had an RBI as well to round out the scoring for Toronto in the losing effort. Santiago Espinal, Cavan Biggio and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. each had a base hit as well to finish off their offense as a team in the defeat. T.J. Zeuch allowed two runs on five hits over three innings of work, not factoring in the decision. Anthony Castro took the loss, falling to 1-2 on the year in relief. Robbie Ray will start here and is 4-2 with a 3.45 ERA and 92 strikeouts this season. in his career, Ray is 1-1 with a 6.52 ERA and 15 strikeouts against Baltimore.

The Baltimore Orioles will look to rebound after a 10-3 loss to the Cleveland Indians last time out. Maikel Franco and Austin Hays each had a solo home run while Trey Mancini went 2 for 5 with an RBI to finish off the scoring for Baltimore in the winning effort. Ryan Mountcastle went 2 for 4 at the dish while Austin Wynns and Anthony Santander each had a base hit to finish off the offense for Baltimore in the winning effort. Jorge Lopez took the loss, falling to 2-8 on the year after allowing five runs on seven hits while striking out three over 4.1 innings of work. Bruce Zimmermann will start this one and is 4-4 with a 4.83 ERA and 53 strikeouts this season. This will be Zimmermann’s first career start against Toronto.

Toronto is 2-5 in their last 7 games overall and 4-11 in their last 15 division games while the over is 4-0 in their last 4 Friday games. Baltimore is 5-2 in their last 7 home games and 17-41 in their last 58 division games while the under is 5-1 in their last 6 series-opening games. The over is 4-1-2 in the last 7 meetings between these two teams in Baltimore.

I get the case that could be made for the over as Baltimore’s staff has struggled lately and Toronto has had their ups and downs on the mound as of late as well, Thursday included. Instead, I’m going to side with the under. Robbie Ray’s been one of the bright spots in Toronto’s rotation and Bruce Zimmermann has had a fair bit of success for Baltimore on the year as well. I look for a bit of a pitcher’s duel here, so give me the under.
