The Toronto Blue Jays and the Baltimore Orioles meet Saturday in MLB action from Oriole Park. This will be the second installment in a three-game weekend series featuring these teams. In the Friday opener, the Orioles put up a big six-run victory. Check back all season long for free MLB picks at Sports Chat Place.

Toronto had some bad luck this week against the Yankees, getting swept in all three games during that set. In the opener versus Baltimore on Friday, the Jays notched just four hits in a 7-1 loss. Robbie Ray lasted 4.1 innings with two earned on six hits.

For the starter job in the Saturday game, the Jays will send out Alek Manoah. This year over 20.1 innings of work Manoah is 1-0 with a 2.66 ERA and 21 strikeouts in four starts.

Over on the Orioles’ side, they also got swept this week, falling in four straight games to the Indians. In the Friday opener, Baltimore put up five runs in the eighth to ice the win. Thomas Eshelman managed 4.2 innings with one earned on three hits.
For the Saturday game, the O’s are sending Dean Kremer to the mound for the start. Over 43.1 innings this year, Kremer has 51 hits, 33 runs (32 earned), 11 homers, 16 walks, 39 Ks and a 6.65 ERA.

The Blue Jays are 6-1 in the last seven in game two of a series and 5-1 in their last six Saturday games. The under is 3-0-1 in Toronto’s last four in game two of a series and 66-30-8 in their last 104 Saturday games.

Meanwhile, the Orioles are 27-60 in their last 87 Saturday games and 16-42 in their last 58 in game two of a series. The over is 7-1-1 in the Orioles’ last nine Saturday games and 34-14-3 in their last 51 in game two of a series.

PICK: I’m going to go with the Blue Jays. Manoah has been doing well through his four starts so far, and should continue his success here. As for Kremer, he’s still searching for his first big-league win this year, back in the Majors while filling in John Means’ (shoulder) rotation spot. I like Manoah to post a quality outing in this one as he bags a victory.
