The New York Mets and the Washington Nationals meet Sunday in MLB action from Nationals Park. This will be the final installment in a four-game series between these teams this weekend. The Nationals eked out a win Friday, then in the doubleheader Saturday the Mets won game one. In game two, Washington got a four-run victory. The Mets took a tough loss Friday, falling 1-0 in walk-off fashion. In the doubleheader games Saturday, New York bagged a 5-1 win in game one. Then in game two the Mets gave up 10 hits in a 6-2 defeat. Robert Gsellman went 2.0 innings with three hits and one earned run.

For the final installment of this series Sunday, the Mets will send out Taijuan Walker as the starter. This year Walker has 68.0 innings with 44 hits, 19 runs (16 earned), three homers allowed, 24 walks, 72 Ks and a 2.12 ERA.

Over on the Nationals’ side, they got 7.0 two-hit, four-walk innings out of Erick Fedde in the Friday win. On Saturday, the Nats came up with just one run on four hits in game one. In game two, Washington logged four runs in the fourth inning during their win. Jon Lester lasted 6.0 innings with seven hits and two earned.

For the Sunday starter job, the Nationals will send out Patrick Corbin. In his 70.2 innings of work this year, Corbin has 76 hits, 45 runs (44 earned), 12 homers allowed, 27 walks, 55 Ks and a 5.60 ERA.

The Mets are 5-0 in their last five road games with the total set at 11.0 or higher and 6-1 in their last seven games with the total set at 6.5 or lower. New York is 24-11 in their last 35 on grass and the over is 5-2 in their last seven in game four of a series.

Meanwhile, the Nationals are 2-8 in their last 10 in game four of a series and 14-6 in their last 20 at home with the total at 7.0-8.5. The under is 4-0 in Washington’s last four in game four of a series and 8-2 in their last 10 Sunday games.

PICK: I’m going Mets. This should be a fun starter matchup regardless, though. Corbin posted 8.1 innings of one-run ball in his last start, posting seven Ks versus the Pirates. As for Walker, he’s gone 7.0 innings in each of his last two outings, posting a combined 10 hits, three earned, one walk and 21 Ks in that span. I like both guys to keep it going here in a lower-scoring game.
