The Washington Nationals and the San Francisco Giants meet in MLB action from Oracle Park on Sunday.

The Washington Nationals will attempt to bounce back from a 10-4 loss at the hands of the Giants last time out. Alcides Escobar had a triple, a double and two RBIs while Josh Harrison added an RBI as well. Jakson Reetz had a double as well while Victor Robles, Gerardo Parra, Starlin Castro, Trea Turner and Josh Bell all had base hits as well to finish off the offense for the Nats in defeat. Jon Lester took the loss, falling to 2-4 after allowing eight runs, three earned on nine hits over 2.2 innings of work. Erick Fedde will start here and is 4-5 with a 4.53 ERA and 52 strikeouts this season. In his career, Fedde is 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA and 9 strikeouts against the Giants.

The San Francisco Giants will attempt to build on their big win over the Nationals from Saturday. Brandon Crawford and Thairo Estrada each had three RBIs with Crawford going 3 for 3 with a home run and a double while Estrada went 4 for 5 at the dish. Austin Slater went 2 for 6 with a double and an RBI while Mike Yastrzemski, Donovan Solano and Joey Bart each had an RBI to make up the rest of the scoring for the Giants in the win. Darin Ruf also chipped in a base hit to finish off San Fran’s offense in the victory. Anthony DeSclafani got the win to improve to 103 on the year after tossing six shutout innings, allowing just three hits while striking out six. Kevin Gausman will start here and is 8-3 with a 1.74 ERA and 124 strikeouts this season. In his career, Gausman is in 5-4 with a 5.18 ERA and 32 strikeouts against the Nationals.

Washington is 2-8 in their last 10 games overall and 2-8 in their last 10 games against the NL West while the under is 4-0 in their last 4 Sunday games. San Francisco is 7-1 in their last 8 game three matchups and 6-2 in their last 8 games overall while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 Sunday games.

I was leaning towards the over in this spot, but I think that Erick Fedde is going to be fairly more reliable than Jon Lester from Saturday’s matchup and we all know what Kevin Gausman’s bringing to the table this season. I see a bit of a pitcher’s battle here, so give me the under here.
