The Cleveland Indians will look to build on their 3-2 win over Oakland from Saturday afternoon. Franmil Reyes had a solo home run while Cesar Hernandez and Amed Rosario each had a double and an RBI to make up the scoring for the Indians in the win. Austin Hedges had a pair of hits while Harold Ramirez, Daniel Johnsonand Jose Ramirez all had base hits as well to finish off the offense as a team in the victory. Matt Olson had a double while Mark Canha, Matt Chapman and Tony Kemp each had a base hit as well to finish off the A’s offense as a team in the defeat. Frankie Montas took the loss, falling to 8-8 on the year after allowing two runs on six hits while striking out seven over six innings of work. Chris Bassitt will start here and is 10-2 with a 3.28 ERA and 118 strikeouts this season. in his career, Bassitt is 0-1 with a 4.24 ERA and 15 strikeouts against Cleveland.

I get that this is a tough amount of plus money to turn down with one of Cleveland’s better pitchers in Zach Plesac, but he wasn’t all that convincing against the lowly Royals in his first start back from the IL and I’m just not trying to back the Indians right now. Oakland is on a roll right now and Chris Bassitt’s been arguably the best pitcher in Oakland’s rotation. I will lay the juice with Oakland in this spot.
