The Oakland A’s will look to build on their 6-0 win over the Angels from Tuesday. Matt Olson led the charge, going 2 for 3 with two RBIs including a solo home run while Elvis Andrus, Ramon Laureano and Jed Lowrie all had RBIs with Laureano going 2 for 4 with a double in the victory. Mark Canha, Tony Kemp and Jacob Wilson all had base hits to finish off the offense for the A’s in the victory. James Kaprielian got the win to improve to 5-3 on the year after tossing six shutout frames, allowing just five hits and striking out seven. Jake Bauers and Tom Murphy each had base hits as well to cap off the offense for the Mariners as Seattle had just five hits as a team in the losing effort. Keynan Middleton took the loss, falling to 0-1 on the year after allowing five runs on five hits in just an inning completed. Chris Flexen will start here and is 9-3 with a 3.35 ERA and 65 strikeouts this season. This will be Flexen’s second career start against Oakland.
