The Los Angeles Angels and the Minnesota Twins meet Sunday in MLB action from Target Field. This will be the final installment in a four-game set between these teams over the weekend. After a split in the first two games, on Saturday the Angels eked out a one-run win. Check back all season long for free MLB picks at Sports Chat Place.

Los Angels managed to eke out a 3-2 victory in the Thursday opener of this series, but then took a tough 5-4 loss Friday. In the Saturday game, the Angels managed two runs in the first inning and hung on for a 2-1 victory. Patrick Sandoval went 8.2 innings with one earned on one hit and one walk.

For the Sunday starter job, the Angels will turn to Jaime Barria. So far this year Barria doesn’t have a decision in limited action with a 10.50 ERA and one strikeout.

Over on the Twins’ side, they were down 4-0 early in the Friday game but mounted an impressive comeback for the win. On Saturday, Minnesota could only muster two hits in the loss. Jose Berrios put up 7.0 innings with three hits and no earned in a tough-luck loss.

Taking the hill for the Minnesota starter job in the Sunday game will be Bailey Ober. Over 38.0 innings this year Ober has a 1-1 record with a 5.45 ERA and 41 strikeouts over nine games.

The Angels are 8-3 in their last 11 Sunday games and 13-39 in their last 52 road games with a total of 7.0-8.5. LA is 1-4 in their last five in game four of a series and the over is 5-2 in their last seven Sunday games.

Meanwhile, the Twins are 4-1 in their last five Sunday games and 4-1 in their last five in game four of a series. Minnesota is 7-20 in their last 27 with a total of 7.0-8.5 and the under is 3-1-1 in their last five Sunday games.

PICK: I’m going to try Minnesota here. Ober has some decent numbers over his last seven games, posting 29 hits with 11 walks, 18 earned runs and 33 strikeouts over his last 30.0 innings. Ober’s ERA is still a tick high (5.40) but for the most part he hasn’t had a ton of really ugly outings. If Ober can get off to a good groove here and post a quality start the Twins should be fine.
