The Houston Astros and the Los Angeles Dodgers meet in MLB action from Dodger Stadium on Tuesday night.
The Houston Astros will look to rebound after ending up on the wrong end of a 5-3 loss at the hands of the San Francisco Giants in their last game. Yuli Gurriel had a two-run home run while Yordan Alvarez chipped in a double.. Chas McCormick added a pair of hits as well while Carlos Correa, Aledmys Diaz, Kyle Tucker and Michael Brantley all had base hits to finish off the offense for the Astros in the losing effort. Luis Garcia took the loss, falling to 7-6 after allowing five runs on eight hits while striking out seven over 4.2 innings of work. Lance McCullers Jr. will start here and is 8-2 with a 3.23 ERA and 115 strikeouts this season.
The Los Angeles Dodgers will look to add to their 13-0 dismantling of the Arizona Diamondbacks last time out. Justin Turner led the charge with a home run and four RBIs while Albert Pujols chipped in three RBIs. A,J, Pollock added a four hit game with a pair of RBIs while Billy McKinney, Mookie Betts and Chris Taylor all had RBIs as well in the win for the Dodgers. Austin Barnes and Corey Seager each had base hits as well to finish off the Dodger offense in the victory. Julio Urias got the win to improve to a stellar 13-3 on the year after tossing five shutout innings, allowing just four hits while striking out seven. Walker Buehler will start here and is 11-1 with a 2.19 ERA and 139 strikeouts this season.

This is the old case of saving the best for last as I think this is easily the best game on Tuesday’s card. With that said, the starting pitching matchup is a gem here and I think we have a pitcher’s duel brewing as anticipated. Give me the under in this one.
