The New York Yankees and the Baltimore Orioles meet in an AL East division matchup in MLB action from Camden Yards on Wednesday night.

The New York Yankees will look to build on their 7-2 win over the Orioles from Tuesday. All of the Yankees’ damage on the board came via home runs, as Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton each had a two-run home run while DJ LeMahieu, Luke Voit and Joey Gallo each had a solo blast as well to finish off the scoring for the Yankees in the win. Gio Urshela and Anthony Rizzo each had a pair of hits while Gleyber Torres and Kyle Higashioka each had base hits as well in the victory. Gerrit Cole got the win to improve to 15-7 on the year after allowing one run on four hits while striking out seven over five innings of work. Nestor Cortes Jr. will start here and is 2-2 with a 2.70 ERA and 76 strikeouts this season.

The Baltimore Orioles will try to bounce back from their loss at the hands of the Yanks on Tuesday. Ryan Mountcastle had a double with an RBI and Kelvin Gutierrez added an RBI as well to finish off the scoring for Baltimore as a team in the loss. Cedric Mullins had a double as well while Austin Wynns, Pat Valaika and Ramon Urias each had hits as well to finish off the offense for Baltimore in the defeat. Alexander Wells took the loss, falling to 1-3 after allowing five earned runs on seven hits while striking out three over four innings of work. John Means will start here and is 5-7 with a 3.42 ERA and 114 strikeouts this season.

New York is 20-7 in their last 27 games following a win and 15-2 in their last 17 Wednesday games while the under is 5-1 in their last 6 games against a left-handed starter. Baltimore is 23-53 in their last 76 home games and 16-42 in their last 58 game two matchups while the under is 5-2-1 in their last 8 games following a loss.

I get the case that could usually be made for a home dog, but not the Baltimore Orioles. The O’s just mailed it in a long time ago and are looking like they’re going to be the first team to 100 losses this season. Nestor Cortes isn’t a world-beater, but he’s got a refocused Yankee lineup behind him and I think he leads the Bronx Bombers to a win on the road here.
