The Milwaukee Brewers and the Detroit Tigers meet in MLB action from Comerica Park on Wednesday.

The Milwaukee Brewers will look to bounce back from a 1-0 loss in extra innings to the Tigers last time out. Omar Narvaez had a pair of hits while Avisail Garcia and Lorenzo Cain each had base hits as well as the Brewers had just four hits as a team in the losing effort, with none of the hits going for extra bases. Freddy Peralta threw six shutout innings, allowing just two hits while striking out nine, not factoring in the decision. Hunter Strickland took the loss in relief to fall to 3-2 on the year. Brandon Woodruff will start here and is 9-8 with a 2.48 ERA and 191 strikeouts this season.

The Detroit Tigers will try to build off of their solid defensive performance in Tuesday’s win over Milwaukee. Derek Hill’s double and RBI was the lone run that Detroit would produce in the win, with Willi Castro and Jeimer Candelario putting up a base hit as well as the Tigers had just three hits as a team in the victory. Wily Peralta threw six shutout innings, allowing just two hits with five K’s. but it was Bryan Garcia that took the win home to improve to 2-1 on the year. Matt Manning will start here and is 3-6 with a 6.14 ERA and 39 strikeouts this season.

Milwaukee is 7-0 in their last 7 Wednesday games and 4-0 in their last 4 game two matchups while the under is 7-2-3 in their last 12 interleague games. Detroit is 16-5 in their last 21 Wednesday games and 4-10 in their last 14 home games while the over is 5-1-1 in their last 7 games as a home underdog.

I’m not sure what to make of this matchup as the Brewers hit better on the road, but were shut out on Tuesday. I’m going to side with the over here as I think both offenses end up coming alive here and while Brandon Woodruff is one of the better arms in Milwaukee’s rotation, he’s allowed three or more runs in four of his last nine starts. On the other side, Matt Manning’s been awful for the Tigers more often than not this season, but both teams still have some dangerous bats in their lineups, so give me the over here.
