The Atlanta Braves and the Arizona Diamondbacks meet in MLB action from Truist Park on Tuesday night.

The Atlanta Braves will look to build off of an 11-4 beatdown of the D-Backs on Monday. Austin Riley led the charge with three RBIs coming on three doubles while Adam Duvall had a two-run home run and Freddie Freeman had three hits with a double and two RBIs as well. Eddie Rosario added a solo home run while Jorge Soler and Ozzie Albies each had a double and an RBI. William Contreras had a pair of hits and Guillermo Heredia added a base knock of his own to finish off the Braves’ offense as a team in the win. Huascar Ynoa gave up three runs on five hits over four innings of work, not factoring in the decision. Jacob Webb got the win in relief to improve to 5-3 on the year. Jesse Chavez will start here and is 3-2 with a 2.67 ERA and 32 strikeouts this season.

The Arizona Diamondbacks will try to bounce back after yet another frustrating loss in their last game. Jake McCarthy had a pinch-hit home run and Ketel Marte had three doubles with an RBI. Daulton Varsho had a triple and Pavin Smith added a double while Josh Rojas and Ildemaro Vargas each added base hits to finish off the offense for Arizona in the defeat. Humberto Mejia took the loss, falling to 0-2 on the year after allowing six earned runs on eight hits while striking out four over four innings of work. Luke Weaver will start here and is 3-5 with a 4.42 ERA and 49 strikeouts this season.

Atlanta is 4-0 in their last 4 games against a team with a winning percentage below .400 and 3-7 in their last 10 road games while the under is 11-2 in their last 13 road games. Arizona is 33-88 in their last 121 games overall and 0-5 in their last 5 home games while the over is 5-1 in their last 6 home games.

It’s not a secret that Arizona is one of the worst teams in the majors this season, the record speaks volumes and Monday’s defeat was just another example of that. Atlanta on the other hand, continues to win games and it inching closer and closer to that division title. The difference between Atlanta and the second place Phillies is that Atlanta is winning the winnable games while Philadelphia is losing to teams like Baltimore. I have to lay the -1.5 with Atlanta here as the Brave snatch another W.
