The Cincinnati Reds and the Chicago White Sox meet in MLB action from Guaranteed Rate Field on Tuesday night.
The Cincinnati Reds will be out to build on their 13-1 win over the Pirates from Monday’s action. Nick Castellanos leads the Reds with a .310 batting average, 161 hits and 97 RBIs with 37 doubles while Joey Votto has a team-high 35 home runs and Jesse Winker comes in with a team-best .394 OBP this season. Castellanos also has 33 home runs while Eugenio Suarez has 29 home runs and 76 RBIs this season. Luis Castillo is expected to start here and is making his major league debut on Tuesday.
The Chicago White Sox will look to build off of a narrow 8-7 win over Detroit in their last game. Yoan Moncada also leads the White Sox with 30 doubles on the year as well. Reynaldo Lopez is tabbed to make the start on Tuesday and is 3-3 with a 3.16 ERA and 51 strikeouts this season.

I’m not looking to back the Reds here as I’m not sure what to expect from Riley O’Brien in his major league debut to end the year and the Reds are pretty much done like dinner in terms of the wild card race. Chicago is locked into the postseason, but they also have some momentum to build as this is a young team that doesn’t have a ton of playoff experience, so building those good vibes going into the playoffs is key. Give me Chicago -1.5 here.
