The San Francisco Giants and the Los Angeles Dodgers meet in game three of the NLDS in MLB action from Dodger Stadium on Monday night.

The San Francisco Giants will look to rebound from a 9-2 loss at the hands of the Dodgers in game two last time out, evening the series up at one game apiece. Brandon Crawford and Donovan Solano each had an RBI to make up the scoring for the Giants in the loss while Buster Posey had three hits with a double and Austin Slater had a double as well to finish off the offense for San Fran as the Giants had just six hits as a team in the loss. Kevin Gausman took the loss, allowing four runs on four hits while striking out seven over 5.1 innings of work. Alex Wood will start here and was 10-4 with a 3.83 ERA and 152 strikeouts in the regular season

The Los Angeles Dodgers will look to take a 2-1 series lead at home after their win in game two last time out. Cody Bellinger and A.J. Pollock each had a double and two RBIs while Will Smith had a solo home run. Julio Urias, Matt Beaty, Mookie Betts and Corey Seager each had RBIs as well to finish off the scoring for the Dodgers in the win. Chris Taylor had a pair of hits with a double and Trea Turner had a double as well to finish off the offense for the Dodgers in the victory. Julio Urias got the win after allowing just one run on three hits with five strikeouts over five innings of work. Max Scherzer will start this one is 0-0 with a 2.08 ERA and 4 strikeouts this postseason.

San Francisco is 21-5 in their last 26 games following an off day and 44-16 in their last 60 road games while the under is 3-0-1 in their last 4 playoff road games. Los Angeles is 43-12 in their last 55 games overall and 39-12 in their last 51 home games while the under is 4-0 in their last 4 Monday games.

I get the case that could be made either way here, but I’m looking at the under. Alex Wood hasn’t been going deep into games to begin with, and in the playoffs, heavy bullpen use is far from uncommon as we all know. On the other hand, Max Scherzer has been a Cy Young candidate for a reason despite a couple of rough outings entering the playoffs and I think we could see another pitcher’s duel here so give me the under here.
