The San Francisco Giants and the Los Angeles Dodgers meet Tuesday in MLB action for Game 4 of the NLDS from Dodger Stadium. The Giants won the series opener on Friday, but Los Angeles evened it up in the Saturday matchup. On Sunday, the Giants bagged a tight win to take the edge in the series after three games. San Francisco posted a solid 4-0 shutout win in the Friday game one, but couldn’t get much going in a 9-2 loss Saturday. On Monday the Giants had just three hits but that was enough in a 1-0 win. Starter Alex Wood put up 4.2 clean innings with two hits and two walks.

For the starter job in the Tuesday game four, the Giants will send out Anthony DeSclafani. In his 31 starts this regular season, DeSclafani posted a 13-7 record with a 3.17 ERA and 152 Ks in 167.2 innings.

Over on the Dodgers’ side, they scored four runs in the sixth inning on Saturday and posted 11 team hits in the win. In the Monday game, the Dodgers had five hits but couldn’t translate anything to the scoreboard. Starter Max Scherzer logged 7.0 innings and 10 Ks with just the one earned on three hits and a walk.

For the starting pitcher gig in the Tuesday matchup, it’s looking like the Dodgers will bring back Walker Buehler on short rest. We’ll likely see Tony Gonsolin in there to eat up a chunk of innings as well.

The Giants are 6-1 in their last seven in game four of a series and 42-13 in their last 55 versus the NL West. San Fran is 45-16 in their last 61 road games and 40-15 in their last 55 overall.

Meanwhile, the Dodgers are 43-13 in their last 56 overall and 40-13 in their last 53 Tuesday games. LA is 8-3 in their last 11 Divisional Playoff home games and 39-13 in their last 52 at home.

PICK: I’m leaning Dodgers. LA had a few opportunities offensively in the Monday game, but couldn’t make anything stick. Evan Longoria’s solo homer was the only glaring defensive mistake, so if the Dodgers can get the bats going they should be in good shape for game four. DeSclafani has just five earned runs over his last four starts however, so it’s going to be difficult for LA to chase him early. This is looking like another tight, lower-scoring game.
