The Baltimore Orioles and the Seattle Mariners meet in MLB action from T-Mobile Park on Monday night.
The Baltimore Orioles will look to bounce back from a 4-3 loss at the hands of the White Sox in Sunday’s series finale. Trey Mancini has 71 hits and a .283 batting average while Anthony Santander has a team-high 13 home runs and 36 RBIs. Austin Hays also has team-highs of 75 hits with 19 doubles, 44 RBIs and a .285 batting average as well on the year. Cedric Mullins also has 74 hits with 16 doubles, 6 homers and 28 RBIs as well this season. Ryan Mountcastle also has 12 home runs and 37 RBIs as well this season. Tyler Wells will start here and is 5-4 with a 3.34 ERA and 40 strikeouts this season.
The Seattle Mariners will try to bounce back after a 2-1 loss to the Angels in Sunday’s series finale. Ty France leads the Mariners with 87 hits along with 10 home runs and 45 RBIs while Adam Frazier has 61 hits and 12 doubles. Eugenio Suarez also has 14 doubles with 13 homers of his own and 37 RBIs while J.P. Crawford has 68 hits, 5 homers and 15 doubles as well as a .266 batting average. Julio Rodriguez has also chipped in 14 doubles, 11 home runs and 35 RBIs for Seattle on the year. George Kirby will get the start here and is 2-2 with a 3.12 ERA and 47 strikeouts this season.
Baltimore is 4-1 in their last 5 games overall and 30-73 in their last 103 road games while the under is 6-0 in their last 6 games against a team with a losing record. Seattle is 5-0 in their lat 5 games against a team with a losing record and 7-3 in their last 10 series-opening games while the under is 5-1 in their last 6 home games against a right-handed starter.
I get why you’d look at Seattle here, as this is a long trip for Baltimore from series-to-series. However, the Orioles have been battling hard over the last couple of weeks and this just feels like one of those spots where the Orioles keep this one close at the very worst by a run. I’ll side with Baltimore +1.5 here.
