The Atlanta Braves and the New York Mets meet in an NL East division matchup in MLB action from Citi Field on Thursday.

The Atlanta Braves will look to rebound after a 3-1 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies in Wednesday’s series finale. Matt Olson has 100 hits with a .248 batting average and a team-high 35 doubles while Marcell Ozuna has 84 hits with 13 doubles, 19 home runs and 42 RBIs. Austin Riley has 121 hits with 32 doubles, 29 home runs and 68 RBIs and Ozzie Albies has 8 home runs and 33 RBIs and Dansby Swanson also has 55 RBIs of his own as well as a .300 batting average and 116 hits this season.

The New York Mets will try to build on yet another win after a 9-5 win over the Washington Nationals in their series finale on Wednesday. Francisco Lindor has 105 hits along with 19 home runs, 74 RBIs and a .262 batting average while Pete Alonso also has 106 hits, 28 home runs and 88 RBIs. Starling Marte has 106 hits, 19 doubles, 4 triples and 48 RBIs as well while Eduardo Escobar has 20 doubles as well as 3 triples and Brandon Nimmo has also chipped in 5 triples as well this season. Jeff McNeil has 97 hits, 24 doubles, a triple and a .302 batting average as well on the year. Carlos Carrasco will start here and is 11-4 with a 3.79 ERA and 108 strikeouts this season.

Atlanta is 8-2 in their last 10 series-opening games and 40-15 in their last 55 games overall while the over is 6-1-1 in their last 8 division games. New York is 9-1 in their last 10 Thursday games and 25-6 in their last 31 series-opening games while the over is 5-2 in their last 7 division games.

I get the case to be made for the Mets here as they’re a solid team at home and Carlos Carrasco’s been money as of late. However, this is a ton of value with the Braves at plus money considering Atlanta remembers they let an opportunity to make up ground on the Mets slip just before the all-star break and they won’t want to make that same mistake again. Kyle Wright hasn’t been as convincing as Carrasco in recent starts, but the Braves have won 15 of Wright’s 20 starts this season and at that price, I can’t pass on the plus money here. Give me Atlanta.
