The Chicago White Sox and the Texas Rangers meet in MLB action from Globe Life Field on Thursday night.

The Chicago White Sox come into this one looking to build on their series win over Kansas City following a 4-1 win over the Royals in Wednesday’s series finale. Jose Abreu has 14 home runs, along with 55 RBIs, 118 hits and 27 doubles while Luis Robert has a .301 batting average with 92 hits and a team-high 12 home runs and 54 RBIs and Andrew Vaughn has 49 RBIs, a .299 batting average and 20 doubles this season. A.J. Pollock’s also added 35 RBIs and 16 doubles on the year for Chicago. Johnny Cueto will start here and is 4-4 with a 2.86 ERA and 60 strikeouts this season.

The Texas Rangers will try to bounce back after being swept by the Orioles after a 6-3 loss in Wednesday’s series finale. Nate Lowe has 106 hits and a .282 batting average with 16 doubles while Adolis Garcia has 18 home runs and 64 RBIs. Corey Seager also has 94 hits, 24 homers and 55 RBIs and Brad Miller has 29 RBIs while Marcus Semien has 18 doubles, 15 home runs and 51 RBIs and the aforementioned Garcia has 96 hits and 20 doubles as well on the year. Cole Ragans will be making his major league debut for the Rangers in this one.

Chicago is 6-2 in their last 8 road games and 4-1 in their last 5 games against a team with a losing record while the under is 5-0 in their last 5 games following a win. Texas is 1-10 in their last 11 games against a team with a winning record and 1-4 in their last 5 games overall while the over is 7-1 in their last 8 games against the AL Central.

I get the case to be made either way in this one but I’m still leaning towards the White Sox here. Texas has their best chance to get on the board on Wednesday with Martin Perez on the hill and fell short, and now start Ragans here for his MLB debut against a White Sox team that not only hits lefties well but plays their better baseball on the road. The White Sox drilled the Royals in their series and need these wins to keep the ball rolling towards keeping pace in the division race. Give me the White Sox here.
