The Houston Astros and the Cleveland Guardians meet in MLB action from Progressive Field on Saturday.

The Houston Astros will look to build on their 9-3 win over the Guardians from Friday’s matchup. Alex Bregman has 87 hits with 25 doubles, 13 home runs and 55 RBIs. Yordan Alvarez has a team-high 30 home runs and 71 RBIs and Kyle Tucker has 19 home runs and 65 RBIs as well this season. Jeremy Pena also has a .252 batting average with 15 home runs and 38 RBIs of his own this season. Jose Altuve also has 91 hits with 20 doubles, 19 homers and 37 RBIs.

The Cleveland Guardians will try to rebound after another beatdown at the hands of Houston last time out. Jose Ramirez leads the Guardians with 110 hits, 21 home runs and 86 RBIs along with a .282 batting average while Owen Miller has a .242 batting average with 22 doubles as well this season. Ramirez also has 34 doubles and Steven Kwan has 102 hits with 17 doubles as well as a .295 batting average this season. Ramirez has 4 triples while Amed Rosario has 6 triples as well as a team-high 119 hits and Andres Gimenez has a .297 batting average on the year. Cal Quantrill will start here and is 7-5 with a 4.08 ERA and 75 strikeouts this season.

Houston is 89-39 in their last 128 games against the AL Central and 20-9 in their last 29 road games while the under is 16-5 in their last 21 Saturday games. Cleveland is 3-8 in their last 11 Saturday games and 4-1 in their last 5 game three matchups while the over is 5-1 in their last 6 games overall.

The first two games have been extremely one-sided, but they’ve also been fairly high-scoring given the circumstances as well and I think we have another high-scoring game in store on Saturday. Cal Quantrill’s allowed 10 runs, 9 earned, in his last two starts combined and Luis Garcia, while he’s been better on the road from an ERA perspective this season, still gave up four runs to Oakland in his last road appearance. I think this is a game that ends up hitting double digits, so give me the over in this one.
