The Los Angeles Dodgers and the Milwaukee Brewers meet Thursday in MLB action from American Family Field. This will be the finale in a four-game series. After a split in the first two installments, on Wednesday the Dodgers eked out a win. Check back all season long for free MLB picks at Sports Chat Place.

Los Angeles posted a 4-0 shutout win in the opener of this set Monday, then fell 5-4 in a tough one during game two. On Wednesday the Dodgers posted six hits in a 2-1 win. Starter Tony Gonsolin managed 7.0 clean frames with two hits and one walk.

For the starter job in the Thursday matchup the Dodgers are going with Andrew Heaney. In seven starts this year Heaney is 1-0 with a 1.16 ERA. Over 31.0 innings total he has four earned on 21 hits and 10 walks with 42 Ks.

Over on the Brewers’ side, they scored two in the bottom of the 11th Tuesday to secure the walk-off win. In the Wednesday game Milwaukee couldn’t score outside of the eighth inning along the way to four team hits. Eric Lauer put up 7.0 innings, two earned, four hits and three walks in the start.

Starting pitcher for the Brewers on Thursday will be Corbin Burnes. In 23 starts this year Burnes is 8-5 with a 2.39 ERA. Over 143.0 innings total he has 38 earned on 93 hits and 38 walks with 181 Ks.

The Dodgers are 4-0 in their last four in game four of a series and 41-11 in their last 52 overall. LA is 44-14 in the last 58 Thursday games.

Meanwhile, the Brewers are 2-5 in their last seven versus a lefty starter and 9-4 in their last 13 at home. The over is 6-1 in Milwaukee’s last seven Thursday games.

PICK: I’m going to take a stab on the Brewers here. Burnes has been doing pretty well lately—and for most of the season. He gave up four earned in 5.1 innings during a loss to Pittsburgh back on August 2, but since then Burnes has 13.0 innings with two earned on six hits and two walks over his last two starts. As for Heaney, he’s been solid lately himself with three earned over his last 11.2 innings total. Should be a fun matchup, and I think Milwaukee has a great shot at a W if all goes well.
