The San Francisco Giants and the Arizona Diamondbacks meet Sunday in MLB action from Chase Field. This will be the finale in a four-game series. After a split in the first pair, on Saturday in game three the Diamondbacks posted a five-run victory. Check back all season long for free MLB picks at Sports Chat Place.

San Francisco Giants

The Giants managed a 6-2 victory in the Thursday opener of this series, but then fell 7-5 in game two. On Saturday San Francisco gave up four runs in the sixth inning during a 7-2 loss. Starting pitcher Anthony DeSclafani put up 5.0 innings with three earned on five hits and a walk.

Logan Webb will make the Sunday start for the Giants. In his eight starts this year Webb is 3-5 with a 3.46 ERA and 55 Ks in 52.0 innings. Webb is 34-24 with a 3.48 ERA over 88 career games (85 starts).

Arizona Diamondbacks

Over on the Arizona side, they came back from an early 3-0 hole in the Friday game, powering out the win on 12 team hits. On Saturday the Diamondbacks had nine team hits in the victory. Zac Gallen put up 7.2 innings in the start with two earned, five hits and two walks.

Brandon Pfaadt gets the nod for the start on Sunday. Across his two starts this season (the first two of his career), Pfaadt is 0-1 with a 12.10 ERA and six Ks in 9.2 innings.

The Giants are 11-25 in their last 36 road games versus a team with a winning record and the under is 4-0-2 in their last six in game four of a series. The over is 11-4 in San Francisco’s last 15 versus the NL West.

Meanwhile, the Diamondbacks are 6-2 in their last eight in game four of a series and the over is 4-1 in their last five Sunday games. The over is 7-3-2 in Arizona’s last 12 versus the NL West.

ANDREW’S FREE PICK

I’ll stick with the Giants in this one. Webb is doing pretty well these days. Over his last three starts, Webb is 2-1 with five earned on four walks and 21 hits in 21.1 total innings. As for Pfaadt he’s struggled with 9.2 innings and 13 earned over his first pair. On Saturday San Francisco had a couple of bad innings and really didn’t cash in on any offensive opportunities. The Giants will need a good effort with the bats here, but I think they can get it done.
