Over on the Braves’ side, they played the St. Louis Cardinals over the weekend. Atlanta won 3-2 in game one Saturday then fell 9-5 and 6-2 in the remaining pair. On Monday against the Reds Atlanta managed just three hits. Reynaldo Lopez managed 6.0 innings with four earned runs in the start.

I’ll stick with the Braves, but in reality the line is too thick to mess with. Atlanta had a sketchy series over the weekend but they should be okay here with Sale on the mound. Over his last three starts Sale is 3-0 with 16.1 innings and just four earned runs.
On Monday the Braves couldn’t get the offense going at all—outside of Marcell Ozuna’s two hits and a run, that is. The good news is that the bullpen had a nice outing with 3.0 clean frames. Atlanta should bounce back and get the bats going, but it wouldn’t be crazy to try the Reds on a value play.
