The Los Angeles Dodgers and the Atlanta Braves meet Friday in MLB action from Truist Park. Here’s an Atlanta Braves vs LA Dodgers Prediction. This will be the first installment in a four-game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Braves vs Dodgers pick.

Los Angeles Dodgers Betting Preview

Early this week the Dodgers played the Chicago Cubs. Los Angeles lost the first two games in that set 10-4 and 6-3. In the Wednesday finale, LA powered out a 10-8 win on 12 team hits. The Dodgers were up 5-2 by the end of the first inning but let Chicago get back into it with four runs in the fifth.

For Friday’s opener, the Dodgers will send out Landon Knack. Over his first 11 games (nine starts) Knack is 2-3 with a 3.00 ERA.

Atlanta Braves vs LA Dodgers Prediction

I’m leaning toward the Dodgers. Knack is a tepid 1-1 over his last three starts, but he’s pitching pretty well. In that trio, Knack has 15.0 innings with four earned on eight hits and three walks. As for Schwellenbach, he’s given up five earned over his last two starts in 10.2 innings total.

The Dodgers had a pretty good finale game versus the Cubs this week (despite eight runs surrendered), but didn’t play well overall. LA gave up a whopping 24 runs over three games in that set, so they’ve got to get the pitching tighter. Knack should start things off well, then it’ll be up to the pen.
