The Pittsburgh Pirates and the Atlanta Braves meet Sunday in MLB action from Truist Park. Here’s an Atlanta Braves vs Pittsburgh Pirates prediction. This will be the final installment in a three-game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for the game.

Pittsburgh Pirates Betting Preview

The Pirates took on the Cincinnati Reds in their early-week series. Pittsburgh lost the first installment of that set, then came back to win the next pair 9-5 and 6-1. After a 6-1 loss to the Braves on Friday, in game two the Pirates took a tough walk-off loss 2-1 in 10 innings. For the starter role in Sunday’s finale the Pirates will go with Bailey Falter. This year Falter is 3-6 with a 4.00 ERA in 15 starts. Over his MLB career Falter is 13-20 with a 4.54 ERA in 75 games (46 starts).

Atlanta Braves vs Pittsburgh Pirates Prediction

I’ll stay with the Braves I suppose. Schwellenbach does need something of a bounce-back after his last start, though. On June 24 Schwellenbach posted a loss with 5.0 innings and four earned runs versus the Cardinals. He was pitching pretty well (three earned in 12.0 innings) in the two starts before that, though.

On Saturday the Braves got an excellent pitching performance all around in a tight defensive battle. The bullpen provided 4.0 clean innings with one hit, three walks and six strikeouts. Sunday’s finale should be another close one.
