The Atlanta Braves and the Baltimore Orioles meet Tuesday in MLB action from Oriole Park. Here’s a Baltimore Orioles vs Atlanta Braves prediction. This will be the first installment in a three-game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for the game.

Atlanta Braves Betting Preview

The Braves are coming off a weekend series versus the Washington Nationals. Atlanta didn’t play very well in that set, winning Thursday 5-2 before losses 2-1, 7-3 and 8-5 in the remaining three matchups. On Sunday in the loss, Braves starter Hurston Waldrep finished on 3.2 innings, seven earned, four hits and four walks.

For the starting pitcher role on Tuesday it’ll be Atlanta’s Max Fried. This year Fried is 6-2 with a 2.93 ERA in 12 starts. He’s got 67 Ks in 73.2 innings. Fried is 68-28 with a 3.02 ERA in 151 career games (134 starts).

Baltimore Orioles Betting Preview

Over on the Orioles’ side, they matched up against the rival Tampa Bay Rays over the weekend. Baltimore won the first three games 6-3, 5-0 and 9-2. In the Monday finale the Orioles powered out a 5-2 victory to complete the sweep. Starter Corbin Burnes finished on 7.0 clean frames, five hits and a walk.

Baltimore Orioles vs Atlanta Braves Prediction

I might take a stab on the Braves here. Fried is pitching well these days and should set Atlanta up well. Over his last three starts combined Fried is 3-0 with three earned runs in 24.0 combined innings. The Braves have given up 15 runs over the last two games though, so the pen needs to come through here as well.

As for the Orioles, on Monday they kept their excellent run going with 11 team hits. The O’s got a nice outing from the bullpen as well with 2.0 innings, no hits, no earned, two walks and four Ks. Baltimore is cooking right now so I’m probably staying away from this one. Should be a great game, though.
