The Cleveland Guardians and the Baltimore Orioles meet Monday in MLB action from Oriole Park. Here’s a Baltimore Orioles vs Cleveland Guardians prediction. This will be the first installment in a three-game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for the game.

Cleveland Guardians Betting Preview

The Guardians played the Toronto Blue Jays in their weekend series. Cleveland took wins 7-1 and 6-3 in the first two installments of that set. On Sunday the Guardians were able to eke out a win 6-5. Triston McKenzie finished with 3.0 innings and three earned on four walks and three hits.

In the starter slot for the Monday matchup the Guardians are sending out Tanner Bibee. This year Bibee is 5-2 with a 3.65 ERA in 15 starts. Over his career Bibee is 15-6 with a 3.22 ERA in 40 starts.

Baltimore Orioles Betting Preview

Over on the Orioles’ side, they took on the Houston Astros in their last set. Baltimore had some trouble in that one, falling 14-11 Friday and 5-1 Saturday. In the finale the O’s took a blowout loss 8-1. Starter Albert Suarez finished with 5.0 innings, five earned, 10 hits, three walks and three Ks.

As starting pitcher for Monday the Orioles will go with Cade Povich. Through three starts this year (the first three of his MLB career), Povich is 0-1 with a 3.94 ERA and nine Ks in 16.0 innings. The Orioles will meet the Rangers after this series.

Baltimore Orioles vs Cleveland Guardians Prediction

I’ll take a stab on the Guardians. Bibee did well in his last start, notching a win over the Mariners with 6.0 clean frames, three hits and a walk. Bibee did get into some trouble versus the Reds on June 12 though, coughing up four earned in 5.1 innings for a loss.

On Sunday the Guardians came away with 13 team hits and got a couple of solo shots from Steven Kwan and Josh Naylor. It was just enough to overcome a spotty pitching outing. Cleveland could use a good day on the mound Monday.
