Chicago is fresh off a series versus the Baltimore Orioles. The White Sox lost the first two games 13-3 and 9-0, then in the Wednesday finale Chicago finally got a victory 8-1. The Sox bagged 15 hits along the way and never looked back after three runs in the fourth inning.

I’ll just stay with the Red Sox. Realistically not touching this one, though. The idea of taking Chicago on a value play is enticing, but hardly ever pays off. That said, Martin probably won’t be terrible here. He’s got seven earned runs combined in 14.1 innings over his last three outings, going 0-2 in that time.
As for Boston, on Wednesday they dug themselves into an early hole and couldn’t score outside of the three-run third. The Red Sox should match up much better in this Laundry Series, however, Chicago will likely give some pushback while riding high from their Wednesday win.
