Boston Red Sox vs NY Yankees Prediction 7-27-24 Picks

The New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox meet Saturday in MLB action from Fenway Park. Here’s a Boston Red Sox vs NY Yankees Prediction. This will be the second installment in a three-game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for the game.

New York Yankees Betting Preview

The Yankees played their in-city rival New York Mets this week, and things didn’t go well. The Yankees lost both of those games 3-2 and 12-3. On Friday versus the Red Sox, the Yankees would fall again 9-7. Starter Nestor Cortes gave up four earned in 4.2 innings.

In the starter slot for game two the Yankees will go with Marcus Stroman. This year Stroman is 7-5 with a 3.51 ERA in 20 starts. In 251 career games (243 starts) Stroman is 84-81 with a 3.64 ERA.

Boston Red Sox Betting Preview

Over on the Red Sox’ side, they played the Colorado Rockies this week. Boston won 6-0 Tuesday but lost the other pair by a combined 29-15 score. On Friday the Sox bagged 14 team hits (and gave up 14 as well) Brayan Bello managed 5.0 innings in the start with three earned.

Kutter Crawford will take the start for the Sox on Saturday. This season Crawford is 6-8 with a 3.37  ERA in 20 starts. Crawford is 15-23 with a 4.25 ERA in 73 games (56 starts).

Boston Red Sox vs NY Yankees Prediction

I’ll stay with the Red Sox. Crawford took a loss to the Dodgers his last time up, giving up six earned in 5.0 innings. Prior to that however, Crawford had 14.0 clean innings in a pair of wins. As for Stroman, he’s 0-2 in his last three with eight earned in 14.2 innings total.

On Friday the Sox were in trouble with a 7-4 deficit at one point but stormed back for the victory. I like Boston to keep it rolling against a flailing Yankees team on Saturday.
