I might try the Sox here but in reality I’m probably staying away. Crochet hasn’t been too bad over his last two starts with three earned in 8.0 combined innings. As for Heaney, he’s coming off 5.0 clean frames versus Pittsburgh but had seven earned in 9.0 innings prior to that.
On Monday the Sox were burned by one bad inning; five runs surrendered in the seventh. Prior to that Chicago built up a 2-0 lead for a decent chunk of the game. The White Sox really need to avoid yet another letdown from the pen if they want another one of those few and far-between victories. It’s possible but I’m not touching it.
