Cincinnati Reds vs LA Dodgers Prediction 5-25-24 Picks

The Los Angeles Dodgers and the Cincinnati Reds meet Saturday in MLB action from Great American Ball Park. Here’s a Cincinnati Reds vs LA Dodgers Prediction. This will be the second installment in a three-game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for the game.

Los Angeles Dodgers Betting Preview

This week the Dodgers took on the Arizona Diamondbacks. Los Angeles won the opener of that set 6-4 but then dropped the next pair 7-3 and 6-0. On Friday versus the Reds, the Dodgers took a 9-6 loss, giving up six runs in the fifth inning. Starting pitcher James Paxton put up 4.2 innings with five earned runs on five hits and four walks.

In the starter slot for the Saturday game the Dodgers will send out Walker Buehler. This year Buehler is 1-1 with a 4.05 ERA and 13 Ks in 13.1 innings over three starts. Buehler is 47-17 with a 3.04 ERA in 118 career games (109 starts).

Cincinnati Reds Betting Preview

Over on the Reds’ side, they played the San Diego Padres in their last series. Cincinnati similarly won the first game 2-0, but then dropped the next pair 7-3 and 6-4. In the Friday matchup the Reds were out-hit 11-6. Graham Ashcraft left after 5.1 innings, eight hits and a walk.

It’ll be Hunter Greene in the starting pitcher role for the Reds on Saturday. This year Greene is 2-2 with a 3.22 ERA in 10 starts. He’s got 66 Ks in 58.2 innings. Greene is 11-22 with a 4.34 ERA in 56 starts.

Cincinnati Reds vs LA Dodgers Prediction

I’ll probably stay with the Dodgers. Also probably not touching it. Buehler had a couple of sketchy outings this month, going 0-1 with six earned in 7.1 innings total. In his last start however Buehler posted a win with 6.0 clean frames. As for Greene, he’s given up seven earned runs over his last three starts in 18.1 innings total.

On Friday the Dodgers had a couple of bad innings during a rough outing from Ashcraft. Otherwise it wasn’t too bad, though. Jonathan India came away with three hits and four RBI, while Spencer Steer scored twice with three RBI. I like LA to have better fortunes in game two.
