Dylan Cease will take the mound for the White Sox’ Tuesday start. Over his 10 starts this year Cease is 2-3 with a 4.78 ERA and 57 Ks in 52.2 innings. Cease is 38-29 with a 3.68 ERA in 100 career starts.
Cleveland Guardians
Over on the Cleveland side, they had trouble with the Mets over the weekend and fell in a three-game sweep. In Monday’s matchup the Guardians had just four team hits but still pulled off the victory. Hunter Gaddis lasted 6.0 innings with two hits and a walk.
It’ll be Logan Allen’s turn to start for Cleveland on Tuesday. Over five starts this year (the first five of his career), Allen is 1-1 with a 3.04 ERA and 29 Ks in 26.2 innings.
The Sox are 4-0 in their last four in game two of a series and 4-1 in their last five Tuesday games. Chicago is 3-12 in their last 15 road games.
Meanwhile, the Guardians are 4-10 in the last 14 in game two of a series and 1-9 in their last 10 Tuesday games. The under is 5-1 in Cleveland’s last six Tuesday games.

I’ll stay with the White Sox here. Cease had a bad start against KC back on May 8 (5.0 innings; seven earned), but in his last two starts he’s been better. In that pair Cease has a combined three earned on nine hits and three walks in 12.1 innings but went just 0-1. He’ll need some offensive backup in game two. On Monday Chicago had a rough outing at the plate, getting on base just five times in all. It’s going to take a big bounce-back effort with the bats but I think the Sox can pull it off.
